Take Route 276 north for four miles, turn right on Sassafras Gap Road and follow it to the green gate at the end.

One car parks at every site, with overflow parking by the barn for visitors and a dump station by the exit.

The swimming hole is a two-minute walk from the Creek Loop. Bring a chair, bring the dog, and stay until the light goes gold.

Are kids welcome?
Yes, kids of any age. The creek has no lifeguard, so children under 12 swim with an adult, and bikes stay on the gravel loops.
